Price widget

The question: “What did price do between A and B, and what does the path add?”

Show seven days of Bitcoin with hourly candles.

The price widget plots USD candlesticks over an explicit range, keeps a local replay, and hands a selected move to the conversation. It does not plot volume.

Controls

  • Select a move to discuss — expands the A/B panel with Set A, Set B and Explore this move.
  • Set A or Set B arms the next candle pick; click the candle you mean. The panel then shows the chosen A → B times.
  • Explore this move hands the current selection to chat. Sending a question does not by itself fetch data; a follow-up that needs a new range is a new read.
  • Adjust chart — expands Candle interval (1 hour / 4 hours / 1 day). Changing the select alone does not fetch; choose Apply to request the new candles. Apply only changes the chart interval — it does not set A or B.
  • ▶ Play with the Replay position slider and Playback speed (1× / 3× / 6×, default 3×) — local replay of already-loaded candles. It does not fetch and does not change the selection.

Reading the candles

  • Candles are USD open/high/low/close on the chart's selected interval; the widget names the observed pair (for example BTC-USDC) and the unit.
  • Finite OHLC is plotted with its coverage qualifications; open or partially covered candles are shown with those qualifications rather than categorically removed. Genuinely missing readings stay gaps, not zero.
  • The A/B panel keeps its own chosen times. A new selection resets the local A/B state; applying a new interval does not preserve a fixed A/B pair.
  • Replay is a local visual control, not a server action the assistant can invoke.
